First Nordic–Baltic (Open) LLM Builders Summit
Ole-Johan Dahls hus

Ole-Johan Dahls hus, Department of Informatics, University of Oslo

On November 30 & December 1, 2026, Språkmodellklynge Norge (the Norwegian Language Modeling Cluster, or Klynga) welcomes LLM researchers and developers from the Nordic–Baltic region to Oslo. The meeting will be hosted at the University of Oslo, starting late Monday morning, November 30, and wrapping up with lunch the following day, Tuesday, December 1. The summit has a technical focus with time and intensity for hands-on knowledge exchange and joint planning of increased collaboration among Nordic–Baltic LLM practitioners.

The meeting is open to all interested parties. Owing to capacity limitations, pre-registration and a confirmation of participation will be required. There is no participation fee. The meeting is co-organized by Klynga and New Nordics AI, partially sponsored by the Nordic Council of Ministers through its Nordic Language Model Network. Participants cover their own cost of travel to Oslo (in difficult cases, please contact Jussi Karlgren to inquire about possibilties for travel stipends).

Planning & Pre-Registration

The summit programme seeks to balance information exchange across country borders, time for questions & answers, and in particular ample space for discussion both in the plenary (Monday) and in smaller, thematic break-out groups (Tuesday). To suggest topics for discussion and pre-register your interest in participation, please submit a short on-line questionnaire, or feel free to contact the programme committee directly (see below).
